The Museum of Island History will be open free of charge on Saturday 7 September from 10am - 1pm.
Drop into the Museum of Island History on Saturday 7 September between 10am - 1pm and discover more about the history of the Isle of Wight. The small museum is situated within the historic Guildhall on Newport High Street and introduces the history of the Island from fossils to festivals. There is currently a display of landscape pictures of the Isle of Wight and a small exhibition that looks at the history of Newport. The museum also displays the latest archaeological treasures found on the Isle of Wight.
