Join us for an organised cycle ride through the beautiful countryside as Puttenham Barn, now an eco-friendly bunkhouse, celebrates the importance of connection with local hostels
Puttenham Barn is proud to be part of the Friends of Nature network and with these new cycle routes, hope to bring hostels that are, or have been on this network, closer together. Find out more here: https://friendsofnature.org.uk/
We are running coordinated cycle rides from two hostels - and invite you to join us! With route options for both leisure and keener cyclists, you can take in the fresh air of the countryside before finishing the day discovering the heritage of the barn.
Our main ride starts at 10am from the Sustainability Centre/South Downs Eco Lodge near Petersfield, and follows a specially designed route to see the best of the Hampshire countryside. With time to stop off for lunch at a cafe, continue on to Puttenham Barn where you will be warmly welcomed with refreshments, and time to rest or explore the beautiful historic barn.
Then it's just 10 min to the nearest station for your journey home! (Total cycling distance: 30 miles/ allow 6-7 hours)
We also have a longer cycle ride starting at the Court Hill Centre in Oxfordshire, and includes staying at the barn on Saturday evening. Please get in touch on email if you would like to join this specific ride as spaces are limited.
