"Winchester Cathedral is home to a rich collection of fascinating historical objects. Come and learn more about these fascinating objects and see items from our archive with these drop-in, behind-the-scenes talks with our Cathedral Curator."
From Anglo-Saxon stone sculpture to illuminated medieval manuscripts, rare textiles and printed books, intricate metalwork, woodwork, fine art, and much besides, Winchester Cathedral holds many pieces of great beauty and significance. What makes these collections so interesting and different from those of a museum, however, is that, in many instances, the objects continue to play an integral role in the day-to-day work and Christian ministry of the Cathedral. Come and learn more about these fascinating objects and see items from our archive with these drop-in, behind-the-scenes talks with our Cathedral Curator.
