Heritage Open Days 2017

We’ve passed GO – have you?!

Last week Nicky and I were delighted to join our Heritage Open Days Monopoly competition winner – Laraine Roe – at the launch ceremony for the official MONOPOLY Winchester edition, especially when we discovered this was the first time Laraine had ever won a competition! We hope her good luck remains with her when she plays Winchester Monopoly with her family and friends!

The launch ceremony took place at the Great Hall one of the 30 Winchester landmarks on the board. As well as being one of the very first to see the board we were also treated to a fabulous performance by Blue Apple Theatre. Their clever script, which was brilliantly performed, took us through the history of Britain, of Winchester and of Monopoly.

A huge thank you again to Winning Moves UK for providing us with a Monopoly Winchester Edition for our Heritage Open Days competition. Laraine was delighted to receive her winning game on the very day it was launched, and the three of found it great fun to be part of the launch. As Benjamin Thompson at Winning Moves UK says The game is a celebration of and a love letter to – Winchester.

The Winchester MONOPOLY Edition is now on shop shelves at Argos, Waterstones, WHSmith, Toy Cupboard as well as Winchester Tourist Information.
